NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom plans Taiwan visit in November (2022/06/22)
Taiwan's top envoy to the U.S., Hsiao Bi-khim, recently had a special guest over for dinner. U.S. basketball star Enes Kanter Freedom shared a meal with her and two Taiwan lawmakers at the Twin Oaks estate in Washington. On social media, Freedom shared a video of their meeting and revealed that he may visit Taiwan at the end of the year.

First of all, my message to the beautiful people of Taiwan is, thank you for everything. Thank you for standing with me and standing for freedom. And I’m really looking forward to come and visit you in the end of November, I hope. You know, we are gonna have so much fun, you know, a lot of surprises for you.
Freedom, a naturalized U.S. citizen born to Turkish parents, is a long-standing human rights advocate. He's spoken out before over rights violations in Tibet and Xinjiang. He's also voiced strong support for Taiwan. In January, he posted a video commending Taiwan for standing strong against Beijing.

土耳其裔中鋒坎特，長期關注人權議題，勇於替西藏、新疆等議題發聲，也發表過挺台言論，一月的時候就曾po影大讚台灣在蔡英文的領導下，堅強抵抗中國，坎特屢次挺台嗆中的發言，引起高度回響，外界等著他，年底來台颳起旋風。
