Small business owners go extra mile to pass on their legacy (2019/12/04)

A decades-old dumpling shop in Banqiao is seeking a buyer. And to sweeten the deal, its owners will teach you their culinary secrets for free. This is not a common arrangement in the SME market. But some business owners want to go the extra mile to ensure that their legacy lives on.

The dumpling shop owners have had their storefront in Banqiao for 45 years. They're selling their brand and equipment for NT$400,000. They'll also show the new owner the ropes, from operating the equipment down to the proper way of folding dumplings.
