Tai Tzu-ying reveals footage of elementary school badminton match (2021/04/08)
Badminton queen Tai Tzu-ying has revealed a nearly 20-year-old video of herself playing fellow pro shuttler Wang Tzu-wei. The footage was taken when both were just in elementary school. But judging by the talent Tai and Wang showed, few adults could have bested either of them even then.
A girl in yellow battles it out on the badminton court with a boy in white. Those powerful shots belie the age of these players who could give most adults a run for their money.
The girl misses a shot and turns toward the camera, regretful. Recognize those features now? Yes, it's badminton queen Tai Tzu-ying when she was just a third-grader. Her opponent is Taiwan's badminton king Wang Tzu-wei in second-grade.
Showing off her backhand net shot, Tai shows off the prowess that would later make her World No. 1. The film was taken by Wang's mother 18 years ago, and the blurry footage shows its age. But you can still get a sense of the personalities of the two budding stars. At the time, Wang was playing in tournaments a year above his age, while Tai was playing against boys instead of girls.
And that's a habit she never gave up - here she is at the National Sports Training Center last year, beating men in a warm-up for the Tokyo Olympics.
She has often trained with badminton veteran Chou Tien-chen, developing her powerful shots. She posted this video on social media to give fans a glimpse of the early days of the Tai phenomenon.

18年前珍貴影片戴資穎.王子維兒時對打
羽球球后戴資穎，最近PO出一段小朋友對打影片，影片中是國小三年級的她，對戰小學二年級的王子維，當年小戴跨組打男單，王子維則是跨級挑戰，難得的過往畫面被王子維媽媽保留了下來，也讓大家見識到世界球后是怎麼練出來的。
畫面中穿黃上衣的小女孩，和穿白衣的小男孩，正在羽球場上奮力搏鬥，雖然個頭小小，但兩人揮拍你來我往，場面精采一點都不輸大人。
因為沒能接到球，小女孩滿是懊悔回過頭，仔細看看這小女孩的輪廓，是不是讓你覺得很熟悉？她就是當年才就讀國小三年級的戴資穎，而跟他對打的小男孩，正是如今的羽球王子王子維。
露一手網前反手勾對角，小小年紀的戴資穎就展現，征戰國際賽場的致勝絕招，雖然影片因為年代久遠，看起來有些模糊，不過還是能看出兩位小選手在場上拚戰的可愛模樣。這段18年前的影片，是王子維媽媽當年拍下的，就讀國小二年級的王子維，越級打三年級的賽事，而就讀三年級的戴資穎則跨組對戰男選手。
球后小戴國小就跨組打男單，去年在國訓東奧模擬賽，也再度向男對手挑戰。
其實小戴平常為了加強訓練強度，就曾多次和周天成練打，也培養出不輸男選手的爆發力。小戴po出小時候和王子維的對戰影片，也讓球迷重溫小小戴當年在羽球場上的青澀模樣。
