Yunlin farmer produces giant dragon fruit weighing 1.6 kilos (2021/02/23)
Have you ever had a dragon fruit as big as a football? One farmer in Yunlin feeds milk to his dragon fruit plants, producing the biggest 'dragons eggs' in Taiwan. Just one of these is good to feed a whole family. You'll be amazed. Let's take a look.
Dragon fruit are never a bite-sized affair – on the left is a normal-sized fruit. But Hsu Wei-cheng’s produce is off the scale – literally. Put it on the scales, and the dial flips right round and then some.

It went all the way round, more than 1.5 kilos – it’s more than 1,600 grams.
Hsu has perfected his dragon fruit growing over many years. He cultivated this variety, the ‘mibao’蜜寶, with its amazing appearance and juicy texture.

We use fresh soy milk, as well as dairy milk, to ferment and water them. We only use natural methods to grow and manage them.
The mibao is popular not only in Taiwan, but even abroad.

Red dragon fruit are very nutritious and full of minerals as well as anthocyanins. Some of us may get blase about the high quality of local fruit, but this farmer knows firsthand just what a miracle it is.

果紅了! "蜜寶"火龍果吸收牛奶如躲避球口感Q
雲林一位種植火龍果的果農，讓火龍果吸收豆漿加牛奶還混合酵素，每一顆體積大，重量超過一點五公斤。
火龍果原本體積就不小，有農夫種出更大顆的。左邊這顆是一般市面上的火龍果，右邊的這顆，拿到磅秤上量一下，指針立刻轉了一圈多。

“轉一圈，一點五公斤超過，一千六百多公克。”
許位正多年來不斷改善栽培技術，種出"蜜寶"品種火龍果，外觀顯眼，口感Q彈。
