Protesting Fishermen in Spratly Islands
A fleet of fishing boats that set sail from Pingtung four days ago in a protest against ruling from an international tribunal in The Hague that classed Taiwan-occupied Taiping Island in the South China Sea as a “rock” is expected to reach Taiping Island on Monday night. Bottled Water Bans Extended
The Taipei City Government starting in August will expand the scope of bans on disposable tableware and bottled water (that began with Taipei City Hall) to include the Taipei Zoo, the Taipei Water Park, as well as 112 government agencies and 235 schools.

Boy, 11, can jump water ditches on a motorcycle, dreams of international competitions.
An 11- year-old boy in Kaohsiung is already showing signs of becoming Taiwan’s own Evel Knievel. Under the tutelage of his father, Lai Chiu-tong, little Lai Ting-hsian is already able to jump sandbanks and water ditches riding a motorcycle.
