Tsai defends “Chinese Taipei” moniker used at WHA
After returning early this morning from the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Health Minister Lin Tsou-yen went directly to President Tsai Ing-wen and Premier Lin Chuan to report on the conference. Tsai later said Taiwan’s participation under the title of “Chinese Taipei” wasn’t belittling, but Lin in separate comments conveyed his sympathy for those who called the description offensive.

Children Escape Poverty
Ten years ago, locals were touched by the story of a nurse who took the children of a poverty-stricken family out to eat noodles while their mother was in the hospital. At the time, the children asked for only one bowl of wonton noodles, and saved half for their impoverished parents.
