Names Released in Cabinet Reshuffle
Details of the upcoming cabinet reshuffle were officially announced this afternoon, including the names of five new ministers, who will soon head the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Labor, the Veteran Affairs Council, and the Mainland Affairs Council.

High school students score high in English and math in college entrance exams
With high-school students today receiving the results of their university entrance exams, there were smiles and tears across Taiwan. GSAT results were posted online at 9am this morning and full marks were awarded to 259 students: the highest number for four years.

Formosat-5 Captures Taiwan
Formosat-5, the first completely made-in-Taiwan satellite, has completed a comprehensive documentation of the whole country in just three months after technical adjustments to overcome image quality problems. The images were revealed today by Science and Technology Minister Chen Liang-gee, and the Formosat-5 team.

Pikachu Graces Lantern Festival
Taipei Lantern Festival opens tomorrow, and today the star of the event was unveiled to the public: Pikachu.
