    Animation studio celebrates 20 years with exhibition in Taipei (2009/08/07)

    Pixar Animations is celebrating its anniversary by holding an exhibition at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. The exhibition will run for 3 months until November 1, and will include animated characters from all its films including its latest film “Up”. Scripts, digital graphics, and 3D character creations as well as other behind-the-scenes production work will all be presented to the general public.

    A look at the roots of Pixar Animation will be on display at an exhibition at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.

    From hand made scripts to digital 2D and 3D modeling, there are a total of more than 600 pieces of work presented in this exhibit to the audience, said Taipei Fine Arts Museum curator Hsieh Hsiao-yun.

    Behind the scenes production associated with the films “Toy Story,” “Wall-E,” “The Incredibles” and “Up” which is currently showing in theaters, are all displayed to the public. A Pixar Animation exhibition curator and production team members specially arrived in Taiwan to conduct publicity.

    I think people will enjoy the exhibition. Even if they didn't see these movies they can enjoy these animated scripts that have beautiful color, said Pixar Animation's In-house Curator, Elyse Klaidman. They are so lifelike that I think after seeing this, some people who have not seen these movies will go to see them after viewing this exhibition.

    A combination of creativity, imagination, and computer technology are on display at “Pixar: 20 Years of Animation” which continues until November. The exhibition gives local people the chance to experience this incredible, animated dream world.

    皮克斯動畫

    皮克斯動畫20年展,周五將在台北市立美術館正式開展,為期將近三個月的展覽,包括玩具總動員、超人特攻隊、還有最新的天外奇蹟等動畫電影的手稿、數位繪圖、3D人物雕塑等幕後製作大公開。

    皮克斯動畫最原始的樣貌,禮拜五開始在台北美術館盛大展出。

    包括電影玩具總動員、瓦力、超人特攻隊,到目前正在上映的天外奇蹟,幕後製作大公開,皮克斯動畫的策展人和製作團隊也特地飛到台灣來做宣傳。

    結合創造力、想像力、和電腦技術,皮克斯動畫大展將展出到11月,讓台灣民眾體驗他們一手打造的夢想世界。
