Professor teaches way to make hand sanitizer at home (2020/02/13)

If you can't buy hand sanitizer, why not make your own? A Kaohsiung Medical University professor shared his quick and easy recipe at a press conference this week.

Just take 95% ethyl alcohol and mix it with aloe vera gel in a ratio of 4 to 1. If you don't have ethyl alcohol, you can use isopropyl alcohol instead, adjusting the ratio to 3 to 1. But experts say the best way to kill germs isn't hand sanitizers, but good old-fashioned hand-washing with soap.
