Electric Vehicle Show Opens in Taipei (2017/04/20)

The Taiwan International Electric Vehicle Show, or EV Taiwan, opened at the World Trade Center today, with brands from around the world putting their latest models on display. Nineteen electric-powered race cars were among the major draws.

Everything about this race car, from its design to assembly, is done in Taiwan, with 60 percent of its components sourced in-country. The carmaker says it can go from 0 to 200 kilometers per hour in just 2 seconds. As for electric motorbikes, one vendor is pushing what they call the "Internet of Vehicles," which means a dashboard that can show GPS information as well as the driver's latest messages.
